Fox Cyn Ground Water Management Agency: Concerned about water supply and quality in Ventura County? Most of Moorpark, plus a number of other cities (Camarillo, Oxnard, etc.) are part of the FCGMA. This site will tell you how we try to protect the water supply and water quality in the GMA basins. Dr. Mikos was previously on the board of the GMA as the representative for all the Cities that have any of their boundaries in the GMA. She continues to follow GMA issues regularly.


Community Action of Ventura County: Community Action of Ventura County [CAVC] (formerly called the Ventura County Commission on Human Concerns) is the county's official poverty-fighting agency. CAVC has been serving in this capacity since 1965, providing assitance to help people who may be in poverty or are in danger of falling into poverty. CAVC may be able to help you increase your own self-sufficiency. While we may not like to admit it, I truly believe that we, ourselves, are all only one disaster away from falling into poverty or becoming homeless. It can happen to anyone.
